Former Rangers owner Brad Corbett dies at 75
12/25/2012Former Texas Rangers owner Brad Corbett passed away in his sleep on Christmas Eve at the age of 75. During his tenure as the Rangers’ owner, Corbett was best known for changing managers like most people change socks. In just six years, Corbett’s Rangers had six different managers at the helm. Corbett, who made his fortune selling PVC pipe to oil companies, was once told by former manager Billy Martin, "You [Corbett] know as much about baseball as I [Martin] know about pipe." [Source]
