Man creates card for people to get free things they don't deserve
1/22/2013If Brad Newman has his way, frequent reviewers on sites like Yelp or TripAdvisor will have a new tool that amounts to an online version of a mobster threatening to take out the knees of a shopkeeper who refuses to pay protection money. Newman calls it ReviewerCard, a venture that issues cards identifying recipients as reviewers in hopes of gaining preferential treatment from restaurants and hotels. If this sounds like it could enable a customer to say, "Give me what I want or I’ll post a negative review," well, yeah; Newman doesn’t try hard to deny it. We suggest he get a room with a jet tub to wash the slime off. [Source]
