California reps come close to duking it out during debate

Political debates can get a bit nasty this close to Election Day, but candidates don't have to get physical. One debate between two Democratic congressional rivals contesting a redrawn California district certainly got a little too heated on Thursday. Representatives Brad Sherman and Howard Berman were arguing about a federal immigration bill when Sherman suddenly threw his arm around his opponent and asked, "Do you want to get into this?" The crowd cheered as a police officer stepped in to split the pair, but the Berman campaign quickly seized the moment and released the footage.
