Study confirms breakfast sandwiches are bad for you, surprising no one
11/12/2012There's probably not a lot of people out there who think a fast food breakfast sandwich makes for a healthy meal, but scientists have gone and proved just how bad they are for us anyway. Researchers from Canada's University of Calgary fed strapping, college-aged volunteers breakfast sandwiches comprising of 900 calories and 50 grams of fat, and found that the efficiency of their blood vessels had dropped by 15 to 20 percent within two hours. Fortunately, the effects are only temporary. The old saying "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" will have to be extended to "unless you're eating delicious bacon, egg and sausage stuffed between muffins." [Source]
