Cop in elk shooting called in sick, owns taxidermy biz
1/9/2013As a neighborhood in Boulder, Colo., mourns a beloved elk allegedly gunned down by a cop, new details have emerged — about how not to go about committing a potential crime. Brent Curnow was the off-duty Boulder police officer who helped Sam Carter (pictured above) after the latter allegedly shot and killed an elk that was a popular fixture in one community. But, Brent, dude, if you’re going to help your buddy carry out a secret elk hit, you might want to clean up your trail. For instance? Calling in sick the night the shooting went down? And, oh yeah, operating a taxidermy website, which of course, offers "quality taxidermy at an affordable price." Real subtle. [Source]
