Watch this attempted plane theft go horribly wrong
11/10/2012In July, Brian Joseph Hedglin, a 40-year-old SkyWest pilot wanted for the murder of his girlfriend, tried to dodge authorites by breaking into his airline's home base in St. George, Utah, and stealing a CRJ-200 jet. Newly released footage of the escape attempt illustrates how it went disastrously wrong: Hedglin sheared the plane's wing against the terminal (at around 1:15), then plowed through the parking lot (1:29). Hedglin then shot and killed himself inside the aircraft. [Source]
