Queen guitarist gets grief for backing animal rights, allowing hunting
11/25/2012The onetime Queen guitarist and current animal rights campaigner Brian May is catching a lot of flak since the news broke that he basically engineered Bambi's death. May admitted to a British Sunday newspaper that he employed a deer stalker to kill 23 "mainly young, healthy" animals on his Dorset, England, estate, after being advised it would "improve the health of the deer population." May has been slammed for hypocrisy because he runs Save Me, an animal rights charity which opposes hunting. Our sympathies are sort of with May, since he has dedicated his life to helping animals and seemed to just take bad advice, but couldn't he have gotten a second opinion? [Source]
