Brothers hatch chicks from very fresh supermarket eggs

6/5/2012

A couple of brothers from Sweden are reportedly thrilled after buying two-dozen organic eggs from their local supermarket. It's not because they turned those eggs into a tasty three-cheese omelet or perfect puffy soufflé. Four of the eggs produced beautiful little chicks that brothers Lucas and Lars Lund can call their own. But it's not like the eggs just hatched by accident. After reading about live chicks hatching from fresh eggs, Lucas bought a purpose-built incubator. Sure enough, some cute baby chickens appeared -- and, we assume, a lot of not-so-cute baby chicken poop.
