Oh what's this? Just 1,000 uncounted ballots found in Florida

11/15/2012

Oh, Florida, what would we do without you? More than a week after the election and four days after Florida concluded its ballot counting, nearly 1,000 uncounted ballots have turned up in a warehouse in Broward County. Oops. But don't worry, supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes says this kind of thing happens all the time. (Wait, what? Seriously, Florida?) The state has until Nov. 18 to verify all of its votes, but Snipes said that there was no reason to be upset or shocked or outraged over this until-now undiscovered box of citizens' rights. "I've run several elections here, and this election was run no different than any other," she added. Um, maybe elections there should be run a little differently, then. [Source]
