Bubble wrap breaks the 30-foot fall of construction worker in Boston
2/6/2013Proving handy for all kinds of weird uses, bubble wrap saved a falling construction worker outside Boston on Monday. The 38-year-old worker tumbled from scaffolding on a residential building near Boston College, but his fall was broken by a pile of the fun packing material. The worker was hospitalized for back and shoulder injuries, but his 30-foot fall would almost certainly have killed him were it not for his crash-mat of tiny bubbles. The man's name was not released, probably because local journalists were too busy popping the rest of the wrap. [Source]
