Buck, 'the dog who wouldn't die,' ready to leave the hospital

1/13/2013

Things are finally looking up for Buck, the Texas dog who was shot in the face and left to die by the side of the road before being saved by an animal rescue worker. After receiving extensive surgery funded by Facebook donations, Buck has officially left the veterinary hospital and is on his way to recovery. The doctors say he "still shows signs of pain" and "has a long way to go," but at least he is on the path to long, happy life. He's also found a loving home with Tami Augustyn, the rescue worker who first brought him in, even though Buck's first gift to his new owner was peeing all over her backseat. [Source]
