Passengers smash windows to escape drowning when bus bursts water pipe

Quick-thinking passengers had to smash the windows of their bus in Istanbul, Turkey, to escape the tons of pressurized water that threatened to drown them all. The bus they were riding in hit an 18-wheeler before the driver lost control, his vehicle careening into a municipal water valve. Not only was the bus filled with water within minutes, homes and businesses within a 500-feet radius were evacuated due to flooding. Firefighters used vacuum trucks to clear the area.
