Persistent kitty saved heroin addict, and now they play music together
11/7/2012Sometimes saviors are angels with halos. Other times, they're fat orange tabbies that won't leave you alone. Such was the case for James Bowen, an ex-heroin addict saved by a stray cat named Bob. Bowen, struggling to kick his drug habit, found Bob wounded on the stairwell of his U.K. apartment. After giving the cat basic aid, Bowen tried to set him free, but the stubborn kitty wouldn't go. Bob followed Bowen up the road and, brazenly, onto bus. The rest is history. The two began busking together for tips, inspiring a bestselling book "A Street Cat Named Bob." Now, Bowen and his agent are reportedly in talks for a movie.
