Posey's grand slam completes Giants' improbable comeback

10/11/2012

Baseball's drama runneth over Thursday with four playoff series that could potentially be decided, but it's going to be hard to top what the San Francisco Giants pulled off. Down 0-2 in their series with the Reds after stumbling at home, the Giants swept all three games in Cincinnati, capped by a 6-4 victory in Game 5 on the strength of catcher Buster Posey's mammoth grand slam home run. Next opponent up for the Giants: the Nationals-Cardinals winner in the National League Championship Series.
