Cafe menu offers coffee and a fluffy bunny to cuddle
4/12/2012Now here's a foreign innovation we'd love to see adopted in the U.S. soon: bunny cafes. According to CNN, rabbit-centric eateries -- which offer "coffee and cuddles" -- are becoming increasingly popular in Japan. These cafes, where customers can enjoy snacks and drinks while petting the adorable bunnies, have joined the ranks of Tokyo's monkey restaurants (where smart-dressed monkeys can serve beer) and cat cafes, which allow visitors to stroke feline friends while sipping lattés.
For anyone wondering why these animal-focused eateries are so popular, reporter Kyung Lah says it's partly because cramped living quarters and long commutes and working hours make it difficult for locals to own pets.
Would you go to a bunny cafe?
