Cafe menu offers coffee and a fluffy bunny to cuddle
4/12/2012Now here's a foreign innovation we'd love to see adopted in the U.S. soon: bunny cafes. According to CNN, rabbit-centric eateries -- which offer "coffee and cuddles" -- are becoming increasingly popular in Japan. These cafes, where customers can enjoy snacks and drinks while petting the adorable bunnies, have joined the ranks of Tokyo's monkey restaurants (where smart-dressed monkeys can serve beer) and cat cafes, which allow visitors to stroke feline friends while sipping lattés.
For anyone wondering why these animal-focused eateries are so popular, reporter Kyung Lah says it's partly because cramped living quarters and long commutes and working hours make it difficult for locals to own pets.
