Call Palin a 'whore,' then sue for defamation — America!
6/14/2012A man who lit into Bristol Palin at a bar last September, calling her mother a "whore" and "evil," is now suing Palin for defamation. Yes, you read that right. The heated confrontation, in which Palin asked the man, Stephen Hanks, if he was "a homosexual," was filmed by a TV crew for Lifetime's new show, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp." Hanks, who is also suing Lifetime's parent company, A&E, says the use of the footage on promos for the show, for which he says he never gave consent -- as well as interviews Palin has given about the encounter -- has damaged his reputation and career. "Bristol Palin's conduct was outrageous," Hanks' lawsuit alleges. Oh, the irony.
Do you think the lawsuit is justified?
