Camel escapes from circus and runs around California
11/25/2012Don't mind that commotion, peaceful suburban California residents. It's just a camel running down the street at breakneck speeds. Oh, and those ten people running after her? That's just her handler and a bunch of freaked out circus folk trying to catch the gigantic desert beast before she plows over a small child. The awkward ungulate, known as "Atula" to the Ramos Bros. Circus, escaped from her tent Friday and caused quite a stir in the suburb of Glendale, Calif., where she ran into a gas station and stopped traffic. Fortunately, the stubborn creature had a fancy for carrots and was able to be lured back to her trainers without harming anyone. [Source]
