No picnic: Canadians throw 20,000 teddy bears at an ice rink
12/4/2012Another surreal sight courtesy of enthusiastic Canadian sports fans, as more than 20,000 teddy bears rain down on an ice hockey rink. The Calgary Hitmen Teddy Bear Toss saw the crowd throw an impressive amount of cuddly critters on the ice after the home team scored in the junior hockey game. The teddy bears are cast away for a good cause — once they're rescued from their icy landing pad, the bears are given to kids in need.
