Canadian city accidentally names school after Wilson Phillips singer
9/4/2012Maybe Wilson Phillips is huge in Ottawa? Carnie Wilson, a member of the cheesy ‘90s girl group, recently seemed to earn an unexpected honor in the Canadian city with the unveiling of a sign for the "Carnie Wilson Secondary School." The problem? The school is actually named for Cairine Wilson, the first woman appointed to the Canadian senate. The erroneous sign was quickly removed over the weekend, but not before the original was captured on camera. Though a school official termed it "an honest mistake," we’re betting someone involved with the making of the sign is still laughing over this one. [Source]
