Cruise ship stranded off Mexico, but party for passengers doesn't stop
2/11/2013Party's over for a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico, left dead in the water after an engine fire. The Carnival Triumph cruise liner, along with more than 4,200 passengers and crew members, will be towed away Monday by a rescue tugboat into the nearest port of Progreso, Mexico. The party didn't totally stop for the passengers, however: Emergency generators meant that cruisers didn't lose power, and ample food and (ahem) beverages remain on board. Thank goodness. Adrift at sea on a cruise ship? Bearable. Adrift without fresh ice and vodka? Hell on water. [Source]
