Carolina Panthers give up on coin toss, let fans pick heads or tails11/30/2012
The Carolina Panthers aren't much good, having won just 3 of 11 games this NFL season. And maybe that's because they have terrible luck at simply chosing heads or tails. The Panthers are 0-12 on coin flips (including one in overtime), so they're putting the choice for Sunday's game at Kansas City up to a vote by fans on Facebook. Of course, even if fans get it right, there won't be time for a re-vote on whether to kick or receive. And who's to say management won't use the same strategy to decide coach Ron Rivera's future? Talk about a double-edged sword. [Source]
