Tennis star's Serena Williams skit may be funny, but is it racist?

If you can't beat them, impersonate them. That's what former tennis world number one Caroline Wozniacki tried when she attempted to inject comedy into a recent exhibition match in Brazil by impersonating Serena Williams. The Danish girlfriend of golfer Rory McIlroy stuffed towels down her top and skirt, caricaturing the American champion's curves to the delight of the crowd. But not everyone has seen the funny side. Wozniacki's impression has been classed as "racist" in some quarters including femisting.com where one article read: "when a white woman makes fun of a black women’s body, especially in a way that hypersexualizes her and draws on the stereotype of black women’s big butts, it’s racist."
