Web search on suffocation overlooked in Casey Anthony case, cops say
11/26/2012A Web search of suffocation methods at the home of a little girl on the day she disappears seems like pretty damning evidence, Florida, especially when experts later argue the girl was suffocated. Unfortunately, that evidence was never seen by jurors in the Casey Anthony trial. A Florida sheriff's office confirmed today that a detective on the case overlooked a June 16, 2008, Google search for "fool-proof" suffocation at the Anthony home. Whoever searched clicked an article discussing taking poison and putting a bag over one's head, and then visited MySpace, a site Anthony frequented. However, Anthony was acquitted, and most legal experts agree double jeopardy laws prevent her from being re-tried for the case. [Source]
