Woman files suit against Carnival for disgusting cruise conditions
2/17/2013Well, that didn’t take long. After 4,200 people were stuck for four days on a crippled Carnival cruise ship with broken bathrooms, oppressive heat and not enough food, Cassie Terry of Brazoria County, Texas, has filed suit against the company for the "floating hell" experienced there. But many lawyers think Terry's suit is ill-advised — the cruise company has already offered $500, reimbursement of transportation fees and a credit toward a future cruise to every passenger. It's doubtful that an attorney could get much more money for them, according to Jim Walker, a Florida lawyer for cruise passengers. We're just saying, Mr. Walker, we're not finding the offer of another cruise all that inviting. [Source]
