Cat ramps up her family's cuteness by adopting baby squirrel
5/11/2012When 8-year-old Bailee Schultz discovered an orphaned baby squirrel in his grandparents' wooded Michigan backyard, he was scared that it was dying. But his grandparents' cat Oreo had just given birth to five kittens, so they carefully put the squirrel in with Oreo and soon found the newly named Bushytail nursing along with all the kitties. Now one of the squirrel's favorite activities is keeping warm by burrowing under all his new step-siblings, according to the family. The grandparents plan to let Bushytail go free when he gets old enough, but they hope he won't completely say goodbye. "We'll try to feed him to keep him around if we can," said grandma Stephanie Box. After all, Bushy's family now.
