Knowing how cat parasite makes us crazy doesn't make it any less scary

Scientists have long suspected that parasites from disgusting cat litter can make people crazy, and now they have a better understanding of how it happens. Researchers at Sweden's Karolinska Institutet looking at how the parasite affects the brain have found the parasite highjacks the neurotransmitters which send messages around our brains. Once they've taken over, they release GABA, which inhibits feelings of fear in the host, sometimes resulting in self-destructive behaviour. It's estimated 60 million Americans have toxoplasmosis thanks to eating raw meat and playing around with cat crap. And so, the zombie apocalypse begins. [Source]
