Sturdy cat cheats death three times during Sandy before being rescued

11/11/2012

Sometimes storm clouds have a silver lining. In this case, it appears to have come in the form of a strong-willed cat named Patches. Construction worker Henry Bragg was watching a truck get ready to dump Sandy rubble on Nov. 5, days after the storm, when he saw a cat jump out of the debris. Hollering at the driver to stop, Bragg was able to save the kitty, who had somehow managed to survive each of the following: the brunt of the biggest storm in decades, a demolition crew decimating what was left of the structure he was in, and workers transporting him inside said debris to a dumpsite. We're pretty sure each of those constituted one life, Patches, so you're down to six now. Use them wisely. [Source]
