Chadwick Gray's contribution to art involves sitting still — painfully, agonizingly still for hours on end. Gray's particular brand of anguish is for the purpose of creating exquisite and surreal human body art, painted by fellow artist Laura Spector. The artistic duo, originally from New York, but now based out of Thailand, uses special water-based theater makeup to morph Gray into the colorful masterpieces. Gray says he's spent over 800 hours frozen beneath Spector's brush, noting one time when it took four days to regain feeling in his left arm.
