Photo captures couple smiling, posing moments before rhino attack

Just because a wildlife expert tells you to stand close to that rhino doesn't mean it's a good idea. Chantal Beyer, a 24-year-old student, had the misfortune of discovering that firsthand during a visit to a South African game park over the weekend. As Beyer and her boyfriend posed for pictures in front of some rhinos, the park's owner suggested she "stand just a little bit closer" to the animals for a better shot, Beyer said. Seconds later, a rhino attacked her, its horn penetrating her chest and landing her in intensive care with a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
