Charitable MLB player tosses fans $100 to buy beers
5/5/2012If he isn't already, Jeff Francoeur should be everyone's second-favorite player. The Kansas City Royals outfielder is gaining a reputation as a fan favorite. For good reason -- last month, Francoeur had pizzas delivered to fans in Oakland. On Thursday night, he showed a little love for the home fans. The Royals have designated each Thursday home game as "Frenchy Quarter" promotions (Frenchy is Francoeur's nickname), in which fans sitting in the "Frenchy Quarter" right field bleachers at Kauffman Stadium are given a ticket discount and memorabilia. Last night, Francoeur gave them a little extra: tossing a $100 bill into the stands with the note, "Buy some beer on me."
What should Francoeur do next for fans?
