Best (or worst) nursing home ever orders hookers for residents
1/29/2013At England's Chaseley Nursing Home, if the red sock's a-rockin', you shouldn't come a-knockin'. The East Sussex city council is investigating after discovering that Chaseley staffers have been hooking residents up with, well, hookers. The prostitutes — euphemistically called "sex surrogates" — are allowed to meet with residents in a special room that’s marked with a red sock on the door handle. Staff members check on the busy couple every 15 minutes. "People have needs," Chaseley manager Sue Wyatt says. "If we refused, we would not be delivering a holistic level of care." Chaseley's residents, mainly disabled veterans, reportedly pay for the prostitutes themselves. Wait, that's not covered by insurance? [Source]
