This pizza truck is the food truck to end all food trucks

One day we will build statues to honor Jon Darsky, the revolutionary who made possible the mobile pizza truck. Darsky is a critically-adored San Francisco pizzaiolo who specializes in the crispy, charred awesomeness of Neapolitan pizza. But the strict guidelines for making the pies, in particular, the need for massive wood-burning brick ovens, would seem to make it a not-so-mobile food. Enter Darsky, who installed a 5,000-pound wood-burning oven onto a flatbed truck, calling it Del Popolo ("of the people"). Its kitchen is built into a shipping container and attached to the bed of a truck, and the oven can produce 72 pizzas each hour.
