Couple chooses wedding date to match their ZIP code
1/10/2013Some couples' wedding dates are selected with scheduling logistics in mind. Others choose dates deemed auspicious. This Massachusetts couple chose their date for ease of memorability: They got married on 01-9-13, which (minus the dashes) happens to be the ZIP code of Amesbury, the town they live in. The bride, Cheryl Bennett, a 31-year-old medical receptionist, said the ZIP code wedding date idea was hers. She's fascinated with numbers, she told Newburyport's Daily News, noting that she knew her husband, 45-year-old mechanic Steven DeLong, was the one for her because his birthday is Nov. 22: Her favorite numbers are 11 and 22.
