Chicago channel calls Lakers player an 'idiot' on air
5/17/2012L.A. Lakers player Metta World Peace may have been trying to bring love and happiness to the world when he changed his name last September, but the man formerly known as Ron Artest remains a polarizing figure. World Peace got to hear all about his violent past again near season's end when he was suspended for seven games for hammering the Oklahoma City Thunder's James Harden in the head so hard with his elbow that Harden suffered a concussion. Someone at Chicago's ABC affiliate clearly doesn't love World Peace: On that channel, he was identified simply as "Lakers idiot" earlier this week. What goes around comes around, Metta.
Is the identification justified or is World Peace just a poor, misunderstood guy?
