'Bite me,' say gay-marriage fans on Chick-fil-A 'Appreciation Day'
8/1/2012Whether your feathers are in a fluff over Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy’s opposition to gay marriage or you’re clucking over how everyone’s running around like a bird with its head cut off about it, this is your week to crow. Today is national Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, in which former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee encourages folks interested in "affirm[ing] a business that operates on Christian principles” to stop by a branch for a bite. More than 632,000 people have indicated they’ll participate.
Gay-marriage supporters, however, are planning an event for Friday: Kiss Mor Chiks day, in which same-sex will pop into a Chick-fil-A branch and pucker up. Which could actually backfire and boost biz. [Source]
