New Jersey governor promises to reschedule Halloween if necessary
10/30/2012Concerned that Sandy will interrupt your Halloween plans? Don't be. New Jersey governor Chris Christie has pledged that those forced indoors by the storm's wrath will have another chance to dress up in costume. "If conditions are not safe on Wednesday for Trick or Treating, I will sign an Executive Order rescheduling Halloween," he tweeted on Monday evening, not long after Sandy made landfall. He didn't say what Halloween's new date might be, though it's safe to say it will fall on a night when the only terrifying things bearing down on the East Coast are candy-hungry kids.
