Chris Matthews apologizes for 'stupid' Sandy comment
11/8/2012If you're upset with Chris Matthews for stupidly saying he was "glad" Hurricane Sandy had blown in because it was good for politics — never mind that the superstorm took lives and destroyed homes — he wants you to know no one's more unhappy with him than himself. In a long, ashen-faced apology, the MSNBC host said his Sandy comments were "not just stupid but wrong," maybe even "immoral," and that he had failed to consider "the real lives of people." Yes, he was tired after being on the air for "for 10 hours straight," he said, but "it was a terrible thing to say, period." Apology accepted?
