Christian Bale swoops in to visit Aurora shooting victims

Christian Bale has answered the call. Ever since the horrific shooting at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater last week, pleas have gone out for Batman himself to visit the injured and show them they needn't fear the caped crusader. Today Bale made good on that and visited victims recovering at the Medical Center of Aurora. Bale's visit was unassuming — he reportedly entered via an ambulance — and a spokesman for Warner Bros., the studio behind "The Dark Knight Rises," asserted that the star was visiting on his own and representing himself, not the studio. This is how real superheroes do it.
