Authorities say they're in standoff with fugitive ex-cop Chris Dorner
2/12/2013Christopher Dorner, the ex-cop accused of killing three people and declaring war on law enforcement, is in a standoff with authorities in California, according to police. A law enforcement official said a suspect they believe to be Dorner burglarized a cabin in the Big Bear area of the San Bernardino Mountains and tied up the couple who lived there. One was able to get away and make a call, and when authorities arrived, Dorner reportedly fled in a stolen car. Authorities say the situation is ongoing and police are exchanging gunfire with the suspect. Two officers from the San Bernardino County sheriff's office were shot; one has died. After more than four hours, a SWAT team fired in tear gas and prepared to enter. Shortly after, a gunshot was heard and the cabin burst into flame.
