2/9/2013As SWAT teams scour the California wilderness in search of fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner, shock and anger is bubbling over tweets praising the alleged murderer as a hero for addressing the purported corruption and racism of the LAPD. As the former Navy reservist hides out from cops, a rash of pro-Dorner sentiment has broken out, even after he was accused of murdering three people and wounding two more in sniper attacks. Some are calling him a martyr, pointing to a manifesto he allegedly wrote criticizing the Los Angeles Police Department, while others circulate a petition asking the White House to exonerate the ex-cop and allow him to "tell the world what conspired" at the LAPD.
