Watch two TV news anchors abruptly quit on air
11/21/2012Two news anchors for the WVII TV station in Bangor, Maine, tendered resignations on air during last night's broadcast as a way to protest ongoing disputes with the station's management over journalistic practices. Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio dropped the bombshell at the end of their 6 p.m. newscast and said their decision to depart together was the "best alternative" given some "recent developments" with upper management. But it's cool. These two are looking forward to their time off. Michaels says she's going to work as a freelance writer and finally get cracking on that novel she has in the works as well as do some painting. Consiglio simply said he'll continue his job in "another capacity." So … no novel?
