No good, very bad parents accused of locking disabled daughter in cage

1/30/2013

Cindy Patriarchias and her boyfriend Edmond Gonzales have been accused of finding an incredibly cruel substitute for a babysitter: locking Patriarchias's eight-year-old foster daughter in a homemade wooden cage while they went out to watch a movie. Patriarchias' estranged husband called police when he learned that she had allegedly left the girl unattended in her mobile home. Cops say that when they arrived on the scene, they found the uninjured girl in a cage about 2 1/2 feet wide and 4 feet tall. Patriarchias and Gonzales were charged with child abuse and the girl was placed under the care of New Mexico's child-protection agency. [Source]
