City threatens to take pet bunny from little girl
8/11/2012If you were irate over the boy whose hot dog stand got shut down, look away from this story about a little girl in Connecticut who may lose her pet bunny due to zoning restrictions. Kayden Lidsky, 7, says she adores her overgrown bunny named "Sandy" – the only rabbit her family owns. However, North Haven officials have threatened to take Sandy away because the Lidsky property doesn’t meet the required 2 acres to keep rabbits or other livestock. City spokespeople say the real issue is "blight on the property;" however, more than 1,800 people have signed a petition to let Kayden keep her furry friend. [Source]
