Six Flags bars man from ride 'because he does not have hands'
2/14/2013Clint Bench's congenital deformity means his hands are only partially formed, but they're still functional. So he wasn't sure why was pulled off the Aquaman Splashdown ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington last May. Bench can ride a mountain bike (something many people with normal hands struggle to do in a straight line down a bike path), do pullups and even fire a gun. He's also ridden pretty much every other roller coaster at Six Flags without incident. This seemingly random enforcement of Six Flags' "must have one full arm to ride this ride" rule, which didn't appear in the rider's guide until four months after the incident, has inspired Bench to seek damages for suffering and mental anguish.
