Player's scholarship is football season's first feel-good moment

Vanderbilt coach James Franklin pushes all the right emotional buttons in a film session when he highlights the efforts of walk-on fullback Marc Panu for "finding a way to bring value to the team." But it's not just empty praise: Franklin then goes to his lectern to fetch a piece of paper and announce his delight in awarding Panu a full scholarship.
