Discerning collector snaps up 19-foot-long cigar for a mere $185K
1/29/2013Somewhere out there is a man regarding his new 19-foot-long stogie with great satisfaction. A cigar dealer in Westchase, Fla., sourced the sizeable Gran Habano #5 El Gigante cigar for an unidentified buyer for $185,000. A bargain, considering El Gigante usually has a $200K price tag. The 3-feet thick, 1,600-pound cigar comes with its own 900-pound wooden carrying case and consists of enough tobacco to make 25,000 average-sized cigars, said Juan Panesso of CigarsDirect.com, who procured the impressive item. If you're celebrating the birth of that 1000-pound baby, El Gigante is the only way to go. [Source]
