College student gets arrested due to passion for pipebombs
6/2/2012Appropriately named Celia Alchemy Savage has some interesting hobbies. The 23-year-old Georgia college student caught the attention of federal authorities for, well, allegedly blowing stuff up. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with local police, arrested Savage after a search of her home turned up "two pipe bombs, a pistol, suspected marijuana and methamphetamine and alleged drug paraphernalia." When asked by an ATF agent what there was to do in her hometown of Cornelia, Ga., she replied, "blow things up." Savage said making pipe bombs was her hobby, and admitted she knew building them was illegal, but they were "a passion." Sounds like an interesting woman.
Should she have been arrested?
