City councilman says he thinks disabled kids 'should be put down'
2/27/2013A British city councilman has shrugged off calls for his resignation, despite his despicable remarks about disabled children. Collin Brewer was stopped during an informational event by members of Disability Cornwall, who'd hoped to tell him about how they help the parents of disabled children. "Disabled children cost the council too much money and should be put down," he replied. The organization filed a complaint, and Brewer was ordered to write an apology. That wasn't enough for outraged residents, who think Brewer should step down. "I used to be a salesman," Brewer said. "I said it to provoke [Disability Cornwall] into a discussion." Yeah, maybe sales isn't the right job for you, either. [Source]
