Compression suits for horses aid recovery, add style

3/26/2012

Contrary to what it might look like, Olympic officials are not adding a scuba event to the equestrian competitions. Hidez, an Australian company, has developed a compression suit for horses along the lines of those worn by sprinters and other pro athletes. OK, maybe it makes the horse's butt look big, but it's also supposed to speed recovery following a tough workout. It's up to each team whether to include the suits in their wardrobe, but given the outcry over host Great Britain's Olympic duds, these probably won't be a part of many official equestrian uniforms, but still, it's hard not to wonder what Mr. Ed would have to say about this horse suit.
